Description:

Bukchon Hanok Village is a village of traditional Korean houses surrounded by two palaces: Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung and the Jongmyo Shrine. This village used to be the homes of the officials serving the royal family during the Joseon period. Now some of their descendants still live in this village. The village is made up of many small alleys with all heading towards either Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung or downtown Seoul. (source)
